Cross into the blue, this is the official motto of the US Air Force. Protecting the skies over the United States and globally, they protect the political and military interests of the country. It is hard to believe, but only 4% are pilots in the US Air Force. US Air Force has a whole range of other careers, which help the pilots perform their best.
The armed force of the country comprises of US Air Force, The Army, US Navy, And The Coast Guard and US Marines. The US Marines are the fittest fighting force of the country and are called upon to serve in the most impossible situations.
The main face of the US Air Force is the pilot who is a rare mix of determination and skill. Some of the jobs include Bomber pilot, Fighter pilot, helicopter pilot. The other careers are Non Technical careers, which comprise of men and women who are trained and effective in their management skills. They include intelligence, manpower, personnel, security forces, and communications. They are responsible for coordinating resources, leading mission preparation and much more. Lat but not the least is the people in the Technical wing.
The US Air force works much like a city. Each and every section has to give its best input and its best output in order for the US Air Force to run smoothly and efficiently. The other careers are Specialty careers, which include being a chaplain, Combat Control Officer, Special Investigations Officer and Judge Advocate (Lawyer).
The other divisions of the Armed Forces also operate similar such sections who are responsible for them running efficiently and smoothly. Its essential that all sections work in tandem for better output. In case even one section doesn’t discharge its responsibility effectively, the rest of the sections can suffer for its incompetence. In the various roles The Army, The US Navy, The US Air Force and the US Coast Guard are supported in their endeavors by the reserve. Each division has their own set of Reserves.
